Come and meet the carnival families as they arrive at Dunham, for two special evenings of acrobatics, music and intrigue to launch the Lost Carnival this summer. The Ingenue and Bird carnivals are spending the summer at Dunham Massey in rehearsal, but they invite you for an evening of celebration and performance as they shake off the dust of the road and make themselves at home.
For two nights only adventure around the gardens at dusk to witness mesmerising acrobatics (and try trapeze, tightrope and floor-based amazing feats yourself). Meet charming toybox doll characters who spring to life when you turn their key – will they tell you a secret, give you a piece of their wooden heart, or will you get them wound up?! Witness the curious Legs 11 puppet show, an absurdist’s tale of land and home told through song and a game of chance, and a special fire performance as night falls.
The Jake Leg Jug Band will play live, authentic 1920s ragtime sounds and festival food and drink from 6pm includes prosecco, gin and juice bars, BBQ food and Snugbury’s ice cream.
7-9pm, gates open at 6pm. Tickets cost £14, and are available here. Aimed at adults and families.
